Biography Amanda Thurmond brings dedication to client advocacy, local expertise, and community service to Coldwell Banker The Advantage Realtor Group, Inc., serving buyers and sellers across Simpson County and South Central Kentucky. As a licensed REALTOR® and active member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Amanda also serves on the Realtor Political Action Committee through the REALTOR® Association of Southern Kentucky, working directly to support property rights, local homeownership, and community development.

Before transitioning into real estate, Amanda spent 28 years impacting the lives of local students as a high school social studies teacher and department chairperson at both Franklin-Simpson High School and Bowling Green High School. Her leadership in education extended to mentoring Western Kentucky University pre-teaching students through the CEPT program and evaluating coursework nationwide as an Advanced Placement U.S. History exam reader for the College Board. Beyond her educational contributions, Amanda actively promotes local health and mindfulness in the community as a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher.

A lifelong resident of the area and 1992 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School, Amanda earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University. Her deep local roots drive her to help clients find their place in the community. Above all her professional endeavors, Amanda is proud of her family as the mother of three adult children—Kalynn, Ally, and Ryan.
